I liked the feisty tone, but let's see if there's walk behind the talk. Otherwise, who cares?

UPDATE: Maddow and Olbermann are trying to make a big deal about how the Republicans are allowing themselves to be painted into a corner by their sitting on their hands when Obama struck anti-bank and pro-jobs themes. I don't know. Seems way too subtle to make a difference. If you don't get that all the Republicans have to offer is obstructionism by now, I doubt you're even watching this speech, must less caring about how often Republicans applaud or stand.
I agree, however, with the conventional wisdom that Obama helped himself with this speech. But it won't make a difference in November unless he continues in this smiling feistiness to attack Republicans for their irresponsibility and knocks some heads in his own party to get something done for the public good.
In other words, a speech is more than leadership.
